i personally don't give a shite if any of you think we're a basketball school or whatever term that keeps being thrown about but good lord this is hilarious.

I don't think anyone in the country would call LSU a basketball school
yet

Shaq is probably the second most known basketball player ever behind Jordan
moms in America know Michael Jordan and Shaq

The idea that Arkansas is prominent basketball school has always gave me a good laugh.

I also just think folks outside of the south don't even know the state of Arkansas has a university that's in the SEC.

We were nationally regarded enough to have Nolan Richardson appear in Blue Chips....

Unfortunately for you, how many know he played for LSU?...in your unbiased opinion...those outside the SEC.

Secondly, who gives a frick about SEC championships?
Only 2 sweet 16's since then.
To put it in perspective, Auburn has as many sweet 16's as you over the past 20 years.

The haters are out.
Apart from BBN, y'all will never have the kind of atmosphere we had in Bud Walton last night, ever. A few schools will build dinky little half-sized arenas and maybe put 8-9k fans in them once or twice a year (some only when Arkansas or Kentucky come to town). You'll never have what we have at the Bud. You won't ever have the knowledgeable fanbase that spans several generations, and you won't have that many people willing to show up for a Tuesday night game on campus, even if you gave tickets away for free.
Your ignorance can be forgiven, because you just don't know any better and you never will.

considering he makes it pretty well known, a lot. Maybe not soccer moms. But your average person who knows who Shaq is has likely seen him discuss LSU. Hell, he had a sportscenter commercial with LSU's mascot.
Look, LSU isn't a basketball school. Neither is Arkansas. I can admit it if you can admit it.

A lot of people. I didn't for the longest.

I'd say the casual basketball fan knows Shaq went ot LSU. Your average mom who knows who Shaq is, does not.
I think that's fair.
