I'm perfectly fine with that.
But the difference is LSU has won 2 and played in 3 national championships since 2003. Arkansas on the other hand in basketball hasn't done anything of any relevance since the mid 90's.

Go ask any fan of another conference who they'd consider a basketball school in the SEC. Surely they'd list the ones who have won championships in the last 25 years. Or even the last 10 years.

Nobody thinks of Arky when they think of basketball. Hell, LSU would get mentioned more because of Shaq and Pete. I am not saying Arky is not a great basketball program, but they do not have a national perception at all

A lot of folks ins the south think all eyes are on them. LSU fans included. I think/know people view LSU as a football school (i've lived outside of the south), given how much LSU has won. But I also know LSU doesn't historically stack up with the few mentioned earlier in terms of national perception.

And I'm saying nobody thinks of LSU as a football program. Hell they would think of Arkansas first with DMAC and Mallett.
