LSU because you guys are more familiar with La Tech and Ole Miss because he was an assistant there (and player, obviously) for a while.

Good coach. When ole miss fans are calling for AK's head, they say we should get White to replace him.

Not really. But, I think he would be a solid hire for Bama. I mean, he's turned Tech into a winner. The question is, would he turn down Bama and hold out for Ole Miss?

I gotta think with the last few years, another NCAAT this year and the new arena that AK is pretty set at Ole Miss, especially compared to prior years. White could be waiting a while.

Why would Michael White leave La Tech for Alabama? La Tech is a better job than Alabama and Ruston is a better college town than Tuscaloosa.

I'm sure living in a sweet college town really matters to coaches

Would you want to live in Tuscaloosa? Didn't think so.

I'm 27 years old and not a division 1 coach. Are you really this dense?

Michael White is a good coach and seems like a coach that players and recruits like to play for.

Am I'd rather coach at any SEC school than LA Tech.

You really think a guy who played at Ole Miss aspires to be the head basketball coach at a low level program like Bama? Are YOU really this dense?

Solid troll. 4.7/10

he turned tennessee down last year, why would he go to Bama and play second fiddle to the football program?
Posted on 2/15/15 at 1:37 pm to Gcockboi
Because there was a legitimate chance Kennedy would be gone in a year then. That chance is gone now.
But maybe he is ok staying at LTU until Ole Miss or a Top 20 program come open and hire him, I dunno.

His pops is Duke AD. Will probably get a fancy coaching job soon.

Do you really think this is the year Bama fires Grant?

If I were Bama, I would look hard at...
Tim Floyd first and foremost
Brad Underwood second and quickly
Ron Hudson
Jason Hooten
Michael White
Ben Jacobsen
Steve Fisher

I mean, if they don't then they might as well shut down the program.
5 of 6 years without the NCAA and 2 straight with nothing at all?
If they don't then the group left that cares about basketball will all but dissapear.

I agree, Alabama wouldn't be his first choice.

I'm not so sure that's it either. My take is, he's got a plan. He's going to be a big fish in a small pond for another year or two. Then he's gonna make himself available for a higher profile basketball job. And there will probably be a couple come open in that time-frame. Say, like in the ACC...Just my two cents.
Anyways, there's another pretty good coach in North Louisiana who would do a great job at Alabama and doesn't get near the press White does... Keith Richard at ULM.
What's more, I'd bet large he'd be more than happy to accept ya'll's offer.

Wow - Richard has done a great job this year I had no idea that (a) ULM was that bad for 5 straight years or (b) was having such a solid year this year. Impressive.
Howvee, the rest of his resume is pretty meh.
