For years, one problem with college ball was pitchers couldn't come inside as the huge sweet spot basically forced you to pitch away. It hasn't been a problem in the dead ball era but now with the new balls, it shows up again. It was really noticeable on JB Moss's HR. He seemed a bit jammed on it and yet it went out fairly easily.

I like that the balls have a bit more life and the game is already more interesting. But I do think you have to give the pitchers a fighting chance to "pitch" and not just throw. If you can fool a hitter with location, you should be rewarded. Instead you have to miss his bat which is more about raw stuff than the art of pitching. Greg Maddux wouldn't approve
