He stayed with us in PCB the spring break he sat out... dude was an idiot but we did beat Greg hardy and Gerald rivers in beer pong

Never heard of Bowie until this post. Guess whoever came up with that #1 ranking has never seen Akers, White, Gray, Walker or the young DL talent up at SP play....but especially Akers (hope he doesn't take the GaTech QB offer & realizes his best chance at the NFL is at RB).
Watched Bowie's HUDL. Kid is the best athlete on a 3A field & can definitely high point a ball but he'd get crucified in 5A or 6A at WR if he ran such sloppy routes. May be a great safety if he can come up and stop the run...but the film didn't show if he does or not.

Agreed, if cam Akers isn't number 1 in the state I'll be dumb struck.
He has the same hype as that Dylan Moses LB recruit for LSU. Special talent like those are few and far between.

I will give you that Akers is smaller but he is something special. Think of Dear his sophomore year and imagine what he'd had been like if he had kept his head on straight. That is what Akers has the potential to do his Junior & Senior seasons. From the information I have got he is grounded and his family aims to keep it that way. Plus now he has another potential 4* or 5* RB on his team so teams won't be able to just focus on stopping him....not that it does that much good. IMO he is 1 of the top 20 national recruits in his class so he is up there with Moses.

No. Moses is a freak. He was just named the first ever 5 star freshman.
Akers is good, but as far as hype goes, that nod goes to Moses

Yeah I've never seen hype like Moses. Akers isn't even close.

He's evidently been killing it working out at WR this summer. I believe that's where OSU wants him.

I'm indifferent about him as an individual. I think he can be a solid WR (QuincyAttaboy), but I'd like to keep that Meridian pipeline going.
