I wonder why Chaney wanted out of Fayettville so bad that he was willing to take an offensive line job to do it? I mean hell Chaney was a constant at UT while we were in the midst of a nuclear meltdown and coaching carousel - despite not being the greatest OC ever, he's a pretty amiable guy that gets along with everyone (how on Earth he endured Dooley I'll never know).

I would guess similar to Chris Ash last year. Bad fit with Bielema and privately encouraged to seek employment elsewhere.

There was a rumor Chaney and Bielema had some disagreements later in the season. Best that both sides moved on.

Chaney was one of our coaches that didn't get a raise and contract extension, kind of a I'll save you the embarrassment of firing you so you can go ahead and start looking for another job please kind of deal
