That is some glorious work you've done. Fish in a barrel.
And which Rantard is in here downvoting every post in this thread? From Arky or LSU?

Tags in TN, where I live, are like $50.
Tags in MS, where my wife's car is registered because it was a gift from her parents, are $700.... Again.
They refuse to let us have the title transferred and make the payments ourselves because it's a gift. Yet, we pay for the tags etc.... I'm past the point of annoyed.

WTF is wrong with MS?
Also, her tag was right at $875 last year. So it's gone down some....
Still don't see why they're so damn high.

It's one of the several reasons I quit buying newer vehicles in MS.
Another primary reason is because many of the drivers here don't have insurance and like to run into you, forcing you to make a claim on your own insurance, thus jacking up your premiums.
I got sick of it after having 2 new trucks wrecked by deadbeats in a matter of 4 years, and bought an old truck. Tag is $70. Would be $30 if it wasn't a wildlife tag.

Just grasping for means to get some kind of revenue with our destitute populous I'd imagine.
I had to go through a ton of bullshite just to get my tax returns this year. Like register for an account on the mississippi department of revenue website, enter in an access code. Dig up my 2013 W2 to be able to answer a bunch of quiz questions, etc. I'm convinced they created the system in hopes that many people wouldn't go through the trouble to retrieve their returns.

If you live out in the country they are cheaper. My sisters tag on a brand new vehicle was like 350. Mine was close to 900 and it was the exact same vehicle from the same dealership just a different color. It's all bullshite.

$70 is what I pay now for my OM tag. No inspection stickers or any of that crap.
Our antique tags are like $20.

This one is in Pontotoc.... Isn't that the country?

How did you file? It seems to me people who are using accountants have trouble getting their refunds and then have to go through the whole quiz process to get them. The ones I've looked at that use turbo tax or H&R Block (not recommended) seem to get them back pretty quickly.
I work for the state so I know how big a pain in the arse it is. And you're probably correct in making it difficult so that people wouldn't bother with it. We use to be able to refund people pretty easy if they just called and asked but they changed it recently.

Is it inside city limits? If so, no it's not.
