I'm hoping to find a place in the fondren district so maybe it won't be too bad

The Fondren is pretty cool area. Plenty of good places to eat/drink (Walker's, Saltine's, Pig & Pint, Babalou's, Fondren Republic etc...) and some nice boutiques. They just did 1st Thursday last night but couldn't go because I got called in to handle something. There are plenty of rentals in the area that cater to students/residents at The U so you'll definitely be able to meet people.
I personally like Old Towne Ridgeland / Renniassance area and Madison but I have a family with kids in school.

So what are y'all having for lunch today?
About to head to R'evolution to meet client/co-worker. Plan on hammering down some oysters and a good salad loaded with seafood!

That's the only place in Jackson I could recommend unless you have a family. It's very similar to Midtown. I like it.

My fiance is moving down next summer after she gets her masters in accounting so we will probably move to the Ridgeland/Madison area after that

Do like my buddy and buy a lot in Gluckstadt and build a house if you plan on being in the area long term. It's going to be a super nice place to live in 10 years.

My cousin and her family live there and thats what they did, bought a house in gluckstadt and commute to Jackson.
It's a nice safe area, for young family's

It's growing a ton. It'll be the new Madison soon.

It could be, if and only if they implement the zoning codes that "Major Mary" holds everyone too. There are some nice areas but you have to be careful in the fact that there are some low cdost "starter home neighborhoods" being thrown up literally overnight. All that being said if I was investing long-term Madison property holds its value and the schools are great.

So... I worked out this morning and drank 1/2 a protein shake. But that 4/5 spicy Thai fried rice with beef my SO brought home from lunch yesterday looked so good, I ate it. Probably not the best decision in the world, but damn, spicy Thai leftovers call out to me like a breakfast harpy.
