fricking construction everywhere probably has something to do with it

Yeah, I think the construction behind Cochran was a big cause the last two years. Glad I don't have to deal with that

SWAG Kelly had a few beers and a transformer was hit with some stray AK rounds

Says the fan whose football stadium lost power during the Miss. high school football championship. Couldn't even get the back on that night. Game had to be resumed in the daytime the next day...

Sad Pad should have been replaced 20 years ago. The fact that they are just now replacing it says a lot.

Sad that a team without a functioning arena has no problem beating south carolina.

Ole Miss has the worst arena Mizzou has played in during my lifetime.

Maybe that's why Mizzou can't win there

Probably. It's tough to win when the ceiling is leaking and half of the light bulbs are burnt out.

I mean the dysfunctional arena played a factor in the game

The game actually did have to be resumed the following day. They didnt finish that night

quote:Nope. Transformer blew on the south end of campus - true. Power came back on in 1 hour. Storm blew in; heavy rain/lightning caused postponement. Anyone that knows anything about the high school championship schedule knows that 3 games are played on Saturday. No time for any make up. The SP/OG game was completed on Sunday.

OK. Stand corrected on point 2. But did they not finish the game in the daytime? (Point 3). Just checking on how you could have campus wide power outages and such.

I thought someone started that ' Sarah Mclaughlin' fund for abused Ole Miss fans. I donated my 7 cents.

quote:They did - on Sunday afternoon. They did however play a game after dark on Saturday night (5A maybe??) without a hitch.
But did they not finish the game in the daytime?
quote:I am no electrical engineer but I don't know how you predict a transformer might blow in advance without changing them out regularly. Seems expensive and an unnecessary cost. I might add that we had several games during the regular season that were played with the lights on (Auburn game because it rained) and several games that were at night or played into the late afternoon hours.
Just checking on how you could have campus wide power outages and such.

They are too busy putting chandeliers and chocolate covered strawberries in their tailgate tents.
