I mean ESPN is wearing-it-out. It's a graphic we're going to see a lot during the off-season.

I get-it, I do, I guess, given how much shite some in the West talked heading into the bowl season and given how human nature dictates that it's not how you start, but how you finish.

This could prove to be a pivotal point in the fortunes of the East vs the West. The East just seems to work harder at it, while the west has sort of taken-on a liberal progressive entitlement attitude where they just expect to draw their paychecks without actually having to take care of business in the post season.

I dunno. I'm willing to give the West a pass this year - but we had better not ever see a graphic like that being plastered all-over the ESPN networks and websites again anytime in the near future.

Ohio State? Really? When was the last time OSUmw actually beat a SEC team when not using ineligible players? Had they ever until now?

LSU, you were robbed even though you shouldn't have let it be that close.

Auburn, blame it on your DC.

Ole Miss, MSU ... wtf.

Arkansas, A&M ...

I saw that.

I wondered if it would be making an appearance.

I do not think you understand what this means.

I'll just leave this here as a summary of my thoughts on this thread:

What would each West Team have done, if they had played the East teams Bowl Opponent ? Bowl games are about matchups, and the West had to play the tougher matchups.

Win your bowl games and this graphic never appears. It's that simple. I will upvote as well.

Should the west strive for mediocrity in the regular season so they can get low tier bowls against inferior competition? That seems to be the east formula. Bama has won 3 of the last six national titles. I think they have done their part to bolster the sec perception. Maybe one day USC will actually win a SEC title.

I mean no doubt the west shite the bed but how would they have done if they had played the weak crop of teams that the east drew.

It's one of the biggest stories of the bowl season, of course they should talk about it.

They'll make a bigger deal of it than it is, but it's a completely legit thing to talk about.

We listened to it all the way from NOLA this morning. It got really old, really fast, but we bragged about it for 6 plus years so we have to suffer through it now.

Pride goes before the fall.

While I believe tOSU showed up and pushed Bama's nose in the dirt and looked good doing it, I don't think they can stop Oregon. Go Ducks.

The east performed well in the bowls. Good job.

Do you really think Spurrier's work ethic is greater than Saban's?
Do you think Richt is as interested in winning as CNS?

I can't imagine Steve Spurrier spent a lot of time pouring over film of Miami compared to Saban who probably watched the middle school games played by the OSU players.

Alabama failed to win, but lack of effort was not the problem. They got beat by a good team with a good coach. They beat the east champ by 29.

We played like we played most of the year. The team waited for Nick to make one more play. The linemen got whipped mostly and Nick did enough to give us hope.

Wow, that's a weak argument scrooster. As an Arkansas fan, I have no problem admitting that part of the reason we won our bowl game was because we played an easier opponent. The same can be said about everyone in the east.

Also, Florida has a new head coach, while we've see no turnover so far in the west, so you're already down one biggie for next year.
