Our coaching staff wasted his talents, just like they wasted Craig Sanders. Both players should have had 5 years at LB. Instead Sanders plays special teams and spot time at DE while LO played the position he was most comfortable with and not the position he was built for

What in the world gives you the impression that Everyone's Favorite Bust ( aka Craig Sanders) could play linebacker in a 4-3? Granted no way he would have been worse in coverage than Holland, but he would never get off blocks or scrap well enough to play lb.

I think he was actually blind in one eye. Not joking. DE was probably better position bc of this.

wut? he had no lateral movement, no way he was a linebacker.

As for Owens I think he was a 3-4 OLB trying to play in a 4-3 system. Also he wasn't as explosive as I thought he would be.

That LB class of Owens, Holland, White, and Curry was very disappointing. When we signed it I thought we had brought in a very solid core group of guys but White had injury issues, Curry attitude problems, and Owens/Holland just never developed into SEC caliber defenders

Sanders was too slow for the LBer position & I can't emphasize that enough. I personally think he put on too much weight for his frame really lost speed. Gym rats don't always = good football players.
