Mac5500 has a good point. New Years is a good time. But, Summer is better. I always take my summer vacation the week before season starts.. Gets my mind off the upcoming season as well as it prepares my liver for our first game.

Plus, there are more hotties on vacation in August. In my experience, only old people go on vacation in January
