I know money controls a lot, but there is simply no way we'll ever have a 16 team playoff. It's not logistically feasible unless you cut down the regular season to like 9 games. Plus, WTF would be the point of the regular season if the SIXTEENTH ranked team in the country has a shot at the national title? If you already lost like 3 or 4 games to put you back that far, sorry but you lost your shot.

I'm not a fan. I see no value in it because I think it lessens the regular season quite a bit, but there will always be support for it as a money grab and may eventually happen. I do think the SEC and B1G will be against it because our regular season is far more valuable than anyone else's

a 16 team playoff would bring in conference champions, so it would actually be about the top 10 or so teams and sacrificial conf champ lambs for the top 6 seeds. You keep saying it's impossible... but I still say inevitable,

and I'm talking like 60 years in the future of adding a berth every now and then.
