It doesn't romanticize any rival. They grew up on Lookout Mountain. Northeast Alabama and southeast TN were their stomping grounds. Chattanooga was where you went to get tail on Saturdays.

Actually, the song was written by a Tennessean, Ronnie Rodgers. And if you think it doesn't romanticize the state of a Tennessee then you haven't listened to the song.
