No. Just want to know what is at stake before I choose sides. Why, do you know a good conspiracy?

Bama stands to lose some money, but in a preemptive attempt to cut their losses from missing the playoffs, they decided to shut down UAB's program.

Access Bowls pay $18MM
Contract Bowls pay $20 MM
National Championship Game Pays additional $22MM
An Alabama win would put Bama in a Contract Bowl at $20MM, with an opportunity to gain another $22MM for the conference if they make the title game $20MM-$42MM.
A Missouri win would put Mizzou in a Contract Bowl (Orange, non-Playoff) at $20MM, Bama would be in an Access Bowl at $18MM.
MSU is going to an Access Bowl either way at $18MM.
So, Bama win = $20 MM Bama + $18 MM State ($38 MM Guaranteed + $22 MM opportunity)
Missouri win = $20 MM Mizzou + $18 MM Bama + $18 MM State ($56 MM Guaranteed)
A Missouri win results in $18 MM more guaranteed for the SEC, but a Bama run to a championship is worth about $4 MM more than a Missouri win. Its a gamble.

Y'all can't stand yourselves.
Trying to drum up conspiracies and ref fixing before the game even begins.
fricking pathetic.

Last year, the BCS bowl paid each participant school $17MM. If Missouri won, Alabama would probably get the Orange Bowl. But that would knock another SEC school out of the big bowls. I would assume the CFP play in game would pay North of the Orange Bowl. So there's that. But they are one and done with the Orange Bowl. The bigger loss would be not getting to the NC game in Arlington. So - a lot!

I don't know about that. But let's get pissed off at Georgia, whose loss to an ACC team cost the SEC a guaranteed three teams in NY6 games, and possibly four if Mizzou won.
Thanks a lot Georgia.
