ATM's online program gives out college rings? Huh. I thought Aggies had a lot of pride in that ring.
This is just lazy. Be better.

Texas A&M has a series of very strong distance learning programs for people that are either working full-time or have heavy engagements. Those classes are taught in a similar manner to the on-campus curriculum, and are often in very practical fields.
I am working under the assumption that Johnny took part in a "hybrid" program as his schedule was pretty fricking busy as-is at Texas A&M.
There is no shame in how Johnny went about his academic studies.

But Texas A&M athletic director Eric Hyman hopes that Manziel, the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner, will eventually return to earn his degree. Manziel was enrolled at A&M from Jan. 2011 through the end of the 2013, starting during the 2012 and 2013 seasons. It’s not a stretch to say he transformed the school and football program’s image during those two seasons.
“He’s an Aggie and we want nothing but the best for him,” Hyman told me last week in Fort Worth, where he had spoken to the Rotary Club. “Selfishly, I hope he comes back and gets his degree some time.”

before i decided to change career paths i was going to do DL for my masters just to remove my tshirt status. it seemed like a pretty legit program.

Don't do it to remove your t-shirt status. Do it because it's where your heart is or because you want to advance your career.
It's a good decision in my honest opinion.
