I'm not in complete meltdown mode bc a lot of what we saw this season IMO can be changed with some decent coaching and a little luck (minimize offseason injuries). Our schedule was brutal this year. No one would want our schedule. The only thing I'll add is CGM is gonna have to earn his pay this offseason & next year. Some of you may disagree but NM was a double edge sword. The guy is a tremendous athlete but his passing really is putrid. It's not that complicated but IMO teams didn't mind making us put the team on his back to win games. They sold out against the run. If you have a QB who can keep the defense on its heels make DBs cover your running game will open up. The key for JJ is his ability to run the read option.

It's like people didn't see a direct connection between Duke leaving and our offense turning to shite. While we still were able to turn it up against TAMU since their D sucks, it is lack of viable receiving options that kill us.

Nick isn't a great passer but his throws are catchable. If our WRs didn't hero derp people couldn't sell out against the the run

Yeah, you will have the NM supporters jump in shortly, but everyone knows he is hit or miss on passing, so they are selling out on the run, and allowing NM's lack of accuracy work against us. It is what I would do. Our OL was so good last year, it didn't matter if they loaded the box.
