Long story I don't want to get into but I need to weigh out a gram of material for quality control documentation at work and I don't want to drive up to wizard's at highland to get what I need. What are practical uses for those scales other than drug dealing so I can know where it get one?

Do a google search for chemistry or laboratory equipment and gram scale - you'll find something

Gas stations in the darker part of towns usually have them. They're behind the counter so you have to ask. Like $5. I also needed one for a science project one time.

Any gun/sporting goods store that carries reloading supplies will have small digital scales that can fit in a pocket for 30-40.00 or so. I have This one for quick spot checking when I am doing a run of 12 gauge on my progressive and it's as accurate as my balance beam scale.
