LSU makes me nervous EVERY year.. Great talent and tough as hell.. If the Hatter EVER gets an elite or even VERY good QB, LSU will be truly frightening...

Our best wide receiver on the team said " The LSU game is our most physical game of the year every year" so that oughta tell you something right there OP. Bama will get LSU's absolute best shot every year. We know that much.

Bama v LSU is an epic war every year. Old fashioned, line up, hit 'em in the mouth, slobber knocking football. There's no program I respect more.

Rantards remember the calls that go against them and conveniently forget the calls the that are in their favor. As far as blatantly cheating, how about an LSU player trying to pants a Bama player? The refs turned a blind eye to this: more than a little weird

Winning in BR is extremely difficult. It's the best home field advantage in sports when at full tilt. But that advantage can be negated by a huge late game call if the game is close. Unfortunately, these games are almost always close with four of the last ten going to overtime. You guys can say what you want but there isn't LSU fan on the planet that doesn't expect a crazy late game call to tip the momentum in bama's favor and that is just ridiculous. Everyone in the country is watching these games and the perception of the SEC takes a huge hit every time Ritter takes the field.

A crazy late game call like a missed PI as Bama was driving at the end of the fourth? Or like a PF in overtime that was iffy at best? Bama overcame those and won. Too bad LSU couldn't overcome the bad calls against them.

Seems like our QBs have been better than LSU QBs over the past few years.

If the premise was to let them play all game then why call a ridiculous unsportsmanlike conduct penalty as soon as LSU gets the ball at the five with a minute left in the game. The make-up call against bama in OT was virtually meaningless because once OT started it was pretty much a new game.

In all honesty bama has won the last 4 in the series with two of those coming in the "toughest place to play in all of college football". It drives LSU fans crazy and they grasp for any excuse to belittle the accomplishment.

that is the thing. After getting jawed at all day by LSU fans, it is fun to twist the knife a little.

But in all reality. We witnessed a game for the ages. LSU made a couple poor play calls, Bama made a few poor play calls, and the refs made a few bad calls against both teams.

It was a thrilling game that had 100k people on pins and needles for 4 hours, both sides ready for it to just be over and both hoping to have ecstatic jubilation. It will definitely be a game I watch again and again for years to come.

If complaining about a terrible call is embarrassing to some, it's because it should be. The call itself was an embarrassment to the entire conference. Les is a good guy but he's way too nice. If that call was made against Spurrier's team he'd raise so much hell that it would make national news for a month. Fines be damned. Bringing awareness to something like that is the only way to stop it. There is nothing worse than perceved inequities in sports whether real or not and the sec is entering dangerous territory.

I think were very close and that has showed in the close games we always have. I don't think Les is much worse or even worse of a coach than Saban, and talent is just about equal too. I don't know of anything Les did last night that I disagreed with.

You're a Bama fan, but this message could have been posted by about 100 D1 teams fans.

Recruitment can't be the issue because we have had some "highly touted" (just meaning not scrubs) QBs on the roster. That means it comes down to development, and we could go pro on that front.

I was fine with the game plan last night, some of those drops were killers though, so I can't throw the QB completely under the bus.

If you're in a fistfight and as soon as you start to get the upper hand, someone intervenes and pulls you off the guy and then the guy whips your arse, you're probably gonna wanna beat the crap out of the guy that jumped in before the fight was over.

The officiating advantage is undeniable at this point. The Patrick Peterson non-int call in the 4th quarter increased bama's chances of winning the game. They rode the momentum of that win to a championship that year. The unsportsmanlike call last night also increased their chances of winning the game. At this level where teams are pretty evenly matched and games are closely contested a good team doesn't need much in a late game situation to pull out a win. The fact that all of their goals are in place as a result of that win makes it a massive advantage in the grand scheme. This is why we have a playoff now. The rest of the nation can clearly see the inequities in this league and the powers that be will not stand by while the SEC continues to dominate college football. I would never take anything away from what bama has been able to do on the field. But when you combine great teams with favorable officiating you get a dynasty. The SEC is just an unfair league and I believe that will ultimately be it's downfall.
Oh lord...how long have we got left?

If LSU still had Coach Saban they would be the envy of the College Football World like Alabama is now.
