Always a hell of a game....the thing about LSU is that You always feel that if they got hot they could beat the holy hell out of you in the worst way possible....something that most could not do. There feels like years of pent up frustration just waiting to be unloaded. I for one love the way lsu plays...loose but will knock your head off. I always feel like we will win going in...but there is always that thought...

Not sure I would be worried about this game going forward if I was a gump.
Sure, they will be tough sometimes, but Saban and Alabama just know how to win these games.

The talent level between LSU and Alabama has been fairly level (slight edge UA) for the last 7 years or so, but Les Miles' coaching and personality is so unpredictable it's going to cost you some games you should have won.
Without a doubt, LSU is one of the most undisciplined good teams every year, which I think starts with Miles' persona. That makes them prone to some wild swings in performance

and we scored a td in that new game ... they were both horrible calls ... you have to respond to the refs, though ... i don't keep up with the ref whining or what ref is horrible in this or that game because it doesn't matter ... you have to respond to the call ... period ...

2011 you won in the regular season 9-6.then we won the rematch.
2012 you broke us. I was convinced we were beaten, and half the Bama fans on the rant had given up, AJ and the offense woke up and we barely pulled it out in the end.
2013 was not close.
2014 I was convinced we had lost it when Yeldon fumbled. We had to engineer a drive down the field in 50 seconds to get in FG range so that our unreliable kicker could try to send it to OT where we had a distinct disadvantage in the kicking game.
I can certainly see why you are disappointed and frustrated. Anybody that thinks this game is taken lightly or considered to be a "given" to Bama is ignorant. It's the biggest game of the year on a consistent basis.
