We, like you, have no idea how Tom Ritter has a job. Every game he does of Bama's, he misses calls right and left. To the point that most games it feels like he is calling against us. In fact everyone over at my house last night felt like the refs were calling favorably for LSU. Yet every LSU fan thinks the opposite.
It's not a conspiracy, Ritter and his crew just suck. Hard. Can't wait till his arse is fired.
The end circumstances still make me sick. After the fumble, the teams are pushing and shoving as LSU is deep. Well, no kidding- it's been a hard-fought game and something big has happened, bitter to you, exciting to me. Sure the teams are going at each other. The correct call is to call the teams together before resetting the ball and telling them to chill the hell out... or call offsetting penalties. Either way, it's a warning to quit the extras, and play football. Instead, Bug-eyes goes nuclear and pushes LSU way back; on a "and goal" situation. Regardless of intent, they make a judgement call that drastically affects the game.
We see the attempted makeup later, in OT, as your guy gets flagged to move it back from the 2 to the 12... but it wasn't the same imact- you still had 1st and 10. Later, we see them no-call some potential pass interference 2 plays in a row... maybe they are now trying not to be the focal point of the game now? Too late for that.
Just a bitter loss to swallow, and the screwed up calls stood out because they caused momentum shifts. The game was so evenly matched that any call was going to be huge.

Ritter is a fricking worm. frick that guy.
And you're right it's not just Bama. Constantly keeps teams that it is not looking good for in the game. Just likes to give a glimmer of hope to keep the game in the balance.

Video of the face mask being ripped off? I'm still waiting on that clip. Seems like such a violent force would be caught on camera somewhere...if it actually happened I mean.
I think it's more a "release for safety" issue, as the facemask seems to just pop off instead of wrenching the player's head around. Or else, whoever is tightening things down isn't doing a good job.

I can't either, there were several no call PI's, on both sides. The ones that hurt were the ones that potentially changed the outcome of the game.

Until I read this board this morning as unbiased as I'm capable of, I didn't realize it was even remotely considered bad for the LSU side. The face mask being ripped off I'm not sure whether it was a bama player or an lsu player because it was in a pile up. Either way, it should have been more discussed on tv or something to where the refs were made aware.... idk, that one was confusing to me.
Let me site to you how the texture of it felt to us:
1. Two flags that were attempted to be thrown and removed. One for "illegal formation" and the other for a PI and then they waved it off. That felt like they were TRYING to hunt for stuff to get us on.
2. Two or 3 times where PI "should" have been called on y'all when we were receiving but didn't.
3. The personal foul in OT to me was just a normal tackle, maybe I ought to see it again. But it seemed like there was no WAY to call the personal foul that took us from the 1 yard line to 15 back. That was REALLY tough to swallow.
I swear I'm missing a call or two that I felt were going to get someone's arse fired, as well. It all goes to show you that it's easy to watch a game and REALLY believe they're gunning for you. Even still, it was really tough to watch the game start and have them trying to call flags on you that they can't even make stand.

It's obvious your friends are retarded. LSU was clearly screwed last night. I still can't believe no flag when a man's face mask is ripped off the helmet. Two flags picked up because saban told them too. I could go on and on. It's really sad when a team that's supposed to be so good has to have bias officials decide games for them. We should be use to it, I guess, it's like this every time bama takes the field.

Seriously, take a step back and watch it with a color blind perspective. Bama was arguably screwed more than LSU was in terms of major play calls against us and NO calls against y'all that should have gone for us.

A mask doesn't just fall off. It was pulled. Stringfellow needs to call Riddell again and ask why his rubber clamps are so easily being torn.
Plus if it fell off it wouldn't gone up. Swing aways are meant to stay down unless manipulated.

Here you go. Funny how you can get jobbed by the refs and all the other team has to say is your crying. Then it goes away and still counts as a loss. Sucks for us.
