He isn't being funded to win it. Not every candidate is being funded to win but for other tactical reasons. When Palin was brought in as the VIP candidate the GOP already knew they would def lose the presidency.

Meh. The Hispanic vote is going to be more important than the black vote. And then more important than the white vote.

So, Obama was underqualified because he was only a state senator and US senator, yet this guy is somehow more qualified than him?

Unless something scandalous comes out between now and the election, and he gets the GOP nod, he's got both my votes.

This.
X(how ever many time I can get into the booth) = probably wasted vote but I'll do it anyway. This guy is VERY viable, as of now.

The guy obviously had the skill set to be a brilliant surgeon. He isn't, however, a natural politician and with no experience stands next to no chance of winning the primary.

His effect on the race will be who he eventually throws his support behind.

Unfortunately, I think you're right. I think Warner or Paul are gonna get the nomination, or God help us, Bush

Bush is my favorite right now. He's got the polish, the machine, and the funding. Of course every conservative I talk to is appalled by the idea, so his primary battle should be very difficult.

Paul is the sexy name right now, but he's got a bigger Ted Cruz problem than Mitch McConnell does come primary season. Worst case is if you frickers make Cruz your nomination. Dude is certainly very smart but has an ego that will be a fatal flaw for such a young politician. I think Paul has more control and will sit well with conservatives. That's going to be quite the interesting battle over the next two years.

Sell me on Warner.

Let's ignore for a moment how little Obama actually participated as a senator. It's about his experience before elected office. Obama had absolutely nothing to recommend him for the positions he's held. Carson is light years ahead of Obama in that department.

In addition to being a surgeon, Carson has also served as department head of neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins, and served as a professor in their medical school.

He's got everything he needs to run this campaign and make a solid President.

Well, when you're defending someone that has never held office before, then yes, I suppose it would be for you.

You can find similarly qualified people at just about any university then. Won't find too many state and US senators there though.
