I believe he's a shoo-in.

As we all know, once you go black, you never go back.

et: frickin ABC edited their article to read MAY be entering race. I hate the complete knee jerk reporting like this.

Isn't he a New Earth Creationist? If so, he's not a viable candidate. The Democrats would have a field day with him.

He will get no traction in the GOP primary.

If he gets 80%+ of the black vote, simply because he's black (lookin at you Barry) nothing the Dems say will have any effect.

That's not going to happen. There's already been some bashing of him by a lot of African Americans. Look at Herman Cain. Black people don't vote Republican even if the Republican is black.

Maybe so, but not enough. I live in one of the blackest cities in the country and I hear and see the stuff every day.

Hell, my black cousins are Uncle Tom's because they sometimes vote Republican.

Why do black people hate black people so much?

This is why I disagree.

Because there can only be so many tokens before you start getting duplicates?

Maybe if Colin Powell or Condi Rice or someone similar could get a nomination from the Republican Party... just maybe then, Republicans could put forth a viable black candidate. Hell, I would even consider voting for one of them.

This Carson guy is not a viable candidate though, no matter how much you want to believe it.

I like Rice and Powell. Wanted Condi to run back in 08, tbh.

Carson has a great story to tell and some decent ideas. You are right however, he won't make it. And, that should tell you everything you need to know about American politics: the tags to riches brain surgeon isn't good enough to be POTUS.

the guy is a surgeon, not a professional politician. This makes him viable, imo.

Unless something scandalous comes out between now and the election, and he gets the GOP nod, he's got both my votes.

For once in my life I was trying to be. More difficult than y'all make it look, I must say

We'll see what happens with Carson. He's a long shot, but as a longtime admirer of his, I'm rooting for him.
