Your opinion that the conference is shitty is an opinion. The fact that they won their Conference is a fact.

It's hard to compare across conferences. It's pretty easy to compare within a conference. Putting Conference Champs in makes it where everyone controls their own destiny.

If I go undefeated in a shitty conference, does that mean I'm shitty? No. But I might not get in because the teams I play suck which isn't in my control.

Basically give every one in the Big 5 control of their own destiny from the beginning of the year is what I'm trying to say.
