At what point does BB's seat start to warm up?

The common fans don't have any say in the direction of the program, and thank God that's true. If it weren't, we'd have hired Garrick McGee or promoted Paul Petrino, throw the ball 70 times a game, and play ASU in Little Rock.

Also, we're playing a ton of true freshmen and sophomores and don't have a QB, a kicker, a punter, or playmakers at receiver. We're thin at OL, WR, the entire back seven, and have no kicker or special teams threat.

Meh, I have a friend whose dad is on the BOT, and my dad is friends with one of Gearhart's brothers. From the precious little I've heard, most of the PTB on tHill knew this would be a colossal rebuilding effort unlike anything we've seen before.

With all that said, if we go 0-8 again, 2015 will be the year in which we'll have to show a ton of progress. I still think he can get it done here, and he's not making a fool of himself like Petrino did off the field and JLS did everywhere. We're experiencing far less attrition, recruiting much better and recruiting higher character kids, APR and GPA is up, and our strength and conditioning program is much better than it's ever been. If Bert is ultimately unsuccessful here, he's still going to be leaving the program in *much* better shape than he found it.

Longterm - I'm hoping Bert works out for a litany of reasons, not the least of which being that I'm scared that if he doesn't, other coaches are going to view our program as a place you can't win. I'm worried that the mindset of "dang, he dominated at Wisconsin and now he can't win a thing at Arkansas!" might permeate through the coaching ranks, but that's a long way away if it even ever comes to fruition.

If we miss a bowl next year, it should be scorching

No team should be that bad. Not for $3M/year

Problem is, I can see us going 0-for this year again and I don't see any saviors walking through that door that gives me any hope for next year

He has 5 years minimum. And it would have to get really bad to get fired the 5th year.

If we see a mass exodus of assistant coaches this year, I'd get worried about the future of this program.

If I were a betting man, I'd bet that the defensive staff will return intact, unless Shannon gets a gig as a DC or HC. I really believe we will see some offensive staff changes. Bielema has proven that he will make changes if necessary. While we have had some good numbers, Cheney has yet to develop a real flow. I like him and believe that he is a really good coach, but in my opinion it isn't working like Bert had hoped for. Cheney, while likable, isn't that great a developer of quarterbacks, and we desperately need a QB developer. I'm not real sure what Michael Smith does.

Offensive skill players, PRIMARILY qbs and wrs, are what we need badly.

I think our line play is set, on both sides of the ball, for years to come.

I said at the beginning of the year that this team will go as far as Brandon Allen can take them. So far it's better, but not good enough.
