"One, both my kids are born here. I love Mississippi State. I've loved being here. I love the community. I love the state," he said. "I have a great administration. They've given us what we need to build a successful program. I think we've built that program. We love being here.

If anyone decent comes calling he is gone. Just like every other coach. Nothing unusual here.

The fear expressed by people saying Mullen will leave is hilarious.

There's not a better job for him right now. Period.

I don't think he is leaving, but I bet there are a lot of State fans who really are a tad bit nervous about it and wish they had not been so vocal about trying to get Hudspeth last year. I like how he brought that all up. But, like he said, they did it to him in Florida too.

I believe Mullen models his life after eddie for sure now. Sounds like something cousin eddie would say.

No MSU fan should care about this. All in this year. Cancel the program next year.

You never know.

Tubberville had a good thing at Ole Miss and bolted for Auburn.
Saban had a good thing at LSU and bolted for the pros.
Petrino had a good thing at Arkansas, and... well... pussy. End result was the same.

Why would he leave for a much bigger pressure job. He wins 8 or 9 games a year and he has a job for life.

I don't have enough money to keep him in Starkville if he wants to go elsewhere. If he wants to go then I appreciate what he has done and is doing for us but I think if what I think will happen to finish out the year, we will be OK. I would think $4 million or so in Starkville vs $4 million in the pressure cooker called Gainesville would make me, anyway, stay in Starkville.
