Am I the only one that thinks these comparisons are ludicrous and is being done by our fans in order to give us something positive to think about for the next 2 weeks? Sure the game started out the same in terms of looking like the Keystone Cops, but that's where the similarities end IMO.
- Last year was NM's first SEC road start and he'd been on campus for about 6 weeks
- It was still early enough that we didn't know our identity
- That team had been on an emotional roller coaster for years and had no confidence
- We learned that Mason was a baller and our guys had gotten over giving up on games like 2011 and 2012.

Comparing those circumstances to where we thought this team and program was is like comparing apples to midget porn.

They're not the same for all of the reasons you said.

But if this loss causes Gus to revamp the offense thus again changing our identity to suit what he has rather than what was. And then if they play Roc and figure out he is a baller and we start gashing teams with the run and Duke pass and dazzling them with Coates near catches, well then. Oh and if this Msst loss causes Auburn to continuously be flagged for PI, then they're similar.

If all of that happens, then they're similiar except we're now ranked in the top 6 vs unranked at the revamp phase.

So I agreed with you until I convinced myself otherwise. Posibarner force is strong with me.

Everything said on this board is 100% serious and 100% accurate.

That being said this years MSU game was the exact same as last years LSU game.

My main concern is in the 2 years Gus has been coach we have opened our SEC play on the road by spotting the opposing team 14 points and falling behind 21-0. For some reason both times we come out incredible tight and make horrid mistakes that lead to us getting buried and early and having to play from far behind the whole game

I think our 2013 team found its identity last year during the second half of the LSU game. I think this year's team is still looking.

We are not who we were last year, we know we have talent, we don't have the chemistry yet.

I haven't watched the entire game thru again, but I did like our rhythm and our fire when Roc was running the ball. I don't know if that's the missing spark or not, but I think I'm in the Roc fan club now. Artis-Payne is underwhelming.

Only comparison that I saw was that when you spot a good team a couple of TDs then it is hard to dig out of that hole. At the end of the day though, Miss St is a good team and capitalized on mistakes.
