I didn't agree with the ejection. What say you?

bullshite call IMHO. Hit with his shoulder pads, did not appear to go for the head. The officiating in that game was Big 12 bad.

It was the right call. He hit him too high. Great hit through. The targeting rule needs to go.

The flag was bullshite.
The ejection was bullshite.
He hit the guy in the upper chest with his shoulder.
The hit was violent as frick.
The hit was perfectly clean.
The end.

Was a really vicious hit, but it was not targeting. I am not even sure it was late. My sisters kid plays D1 and had a similar call for hit he made. They overturned it after watching the replay this year.

This. Hosley even knew right away it was targeting. He's a good player just gotta watch those type hits.

No player shall target and initiate contact to the head or neck area of a defenseless opponent with the helmet, forearm, fist, elbow or shoulder. When in question, it is a foul. (Rule 2-27-14)
It was the right call but a little bullshite that it is a penalty. He should have hit a half foot lower

Right call, ejection was good. bullshite rule, though.

I need to see a gif of it to make any kind of ruling

I thought it was a bit of a late hit on a defenseless receiver but not a targeting penalty. Should have been a 15 yard personal foul but not an ejection. Looked shoulder to shoulder to me while the receiver was coming down.

He did hit him with his shoulder, but it was around the neck area. It was hard to argue with the ejection, IMO. If the shoe was on the other foot, I would have wanted the DB ejected. I don't think, for a second, it was intentional....but it was what it was.

Neck area is danger zone according to NCAA rule I quoted earlier. Correct call.
He is back for the grinders though

It was at most a late hit.
I guess part of NR hit part of the WR above the shoulder, but he did not leave his feet, he did not lead with his head, and if that results in ejection- they need to eject more players every week from every team.

This is where I'm at with it.

Just because he knew what the flag was for doesn't mean he agreed with it. It was a terrible call but I blame the rules more than the officials.
