good, I want the media to continue to give the staff reasons to keep pushing A&M is an underdog to the team.

I am kind of excited for Bielema to be their coach. Our clash of styles every year will be a lot of fun at that venue.

I agree. As a fan of football, it was a lot of fun to watch.

I disagree. They are definitely moving in the right direction. I hope they are dumb enough to get rid of him like you say but I doubt it

They don't get rid of him, he will leave. He does not want to be there IMO, and once he shows he has Arky under control, he will leave for the first prestigious offer north of Missouri.

The reason he left a Big 10 school was because he was losing assistants (this after three Rose Bowl appearances) due to his inability to pay them competitive salaries. He won't have that problem at Arkansas.

Besides, IHIOGA that Jen loves outdoor activities, and NWA and the Ozarks can definitely offer those.

The only one I could see might be Iowa, but still I dunno. Ohio State, Penn State Michigan and ND won't be after him or won't have openings. Nebraska maybe an outside possibility but I think Arkansas would outspend them. That's about as far as prestigious jobs in the Big Ten go. Iowa isn't even prestigious he just has history there

While everyone loves the coaching carousel, when you have a destination job, you don't leave it randomly. It takes time to build a team you want. You recruit these guys, you coach them up, you get them winning. You only walk away when the job is a huge step up or there are underlying issues (like Bert/Alvarez). It's why you so rarely see moves from middle or upper tier P5 schools and when you do it's almost always because of prior history (Sark to USC for example).

And clearly he wanted out of Wisky but if Bert didn't want to be at Arkansas, he could have waited for another gig. While his relationship with Alvarez was terrible, he wasn't under any pressure. He could have waited but he reached out to and pursued Arkansas. I don't think he's leaving any time soon. If you win there, it's a great job

Agreed. I know Arky doesn't get the 4/5* recruits that others in the SEC get, but neither did Wisky. For his system, I'd say he will be able to recruit better to Fayetteville than he ever could to Madison. I'm sure if Alabama calls when Saban retires, Bielema will be out the door to Tuscaloosa before his wife finishes packing, but absent a job like that, there's no reason to leave.

Bottom line is the SECW will remain the best division in football, sometimes w/ every team being top-25 quality.

I think his style of play is EXACTLY suited for Michigan. I think Michigan would be crazy not to make a run at him. He will be one of 2 or 3 coaches at the top of their list.

If he doesn't go to Michigan it will probably only be because he turned them down. They are going to come after him. Hogs will be crushed but it is going to happen.

He would be a perfect fit for them.

They will and he will.

Wisconsin wanted him gone, they were not happy with bowl game humiliation despite conference e success.

Michigan will come knocking IMO he does not want to be in the south.

Do you think he has seen exactly how hard it would be to win the SEC West or do you think he just likes coaching up North?

I think I read he won a couple of titles at Central Michigan (not going to look it up) before taking the position at Wisconsin. He must have a good recruiting network up North.

I like his style of offense and defense but playing a physical style in a conference loaded with physical talent is brutal. They will never out recruit 3 or 4 teams in the SEC West consistently. I just don't think Hogs will ever look across the line at Bama, LSU, Auburn, and maybe A&M in a year or two and say we got this.

Wisc, Mich, Ohio St, etc... are like Texas. They only have 2 or 3 games a year where the opposing team has anywhere close to their physical talent. Bert could do wonders at Michigan. He inherited a freaking mess at Arkansas and brought them back physically. I like his style.

I dunno

I don't see a reason for him to leave Arkansas. Michigan would be the ONLY place as of yet (and that hasn't opened yet).

I think this is really grasping at straws.

Nope. Just pure speculation. No substance, just my guess at this point. He could stay at Arkansas that's for sure.

He loves NWA and coaching at Arkansas. For Bielema this is what he wants and I don't see him leaving for any speculative reasoning stated above.

As far as this past weekend, that was a great game and I'm ready for A&M to come to Auburn..it's gonna be a bloodbath

You have a good point. And if Michigan went another way and hired Miles, then maybe LSU looks at Bert.
