In case you have not heard, there has been a second threading comment on YouTube made my the same individual. I hope whoever is behind these threats is weeded out soon. Everyone stay safe

No problem. The tRant should not be approached without at least five beers in the belly.

Update

The guiding principle at The University of Alabama is to promote the personal safety of students, faculty and staff, and UAPD continues to investigate and has been in contact with the FBI in identifying sources of the postings.
Overnight, UAPD responded to messages sent to UA students that proved to be false. UAPD was able to identify a student who sent one of the prank messages.
Although the ongoing social media conversation continues to fuel rumors and speculation and generate additional inaccuracies, the campus community is encouraged to continue its normal routine. Classes will continue as scheduled and UA will maintain normal operations. Faculty members should work with students who present concerns or fears related to these incidents.
Students who need to talk with someone should contact The UA Counseling Center at 1000 South Lawn Office Building (1101 Jackson Avenue). The Center is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The center may be reached at 205-348-3863.
Students who have concerns about their safety are encouraged to go to myBama and to sign up for Rave Guardian, an app that will immediately alert UAPD if a student becomes concerned about his/her safety. Additional information about safety can be found in the Safer Living Guide at LINK .
Any suspicious activity should be reported to UAPD immediately at 205-348-5454.

That's regarding a text going around that said you were chosen to deliver a Greek member to a location off campus in return for your life. I don't think that has anything to do with the Pendragon person's second letter. It was singling out a student for telling everyone to stay safe and to stand by each other.

There are two messages. Search for the crimson white twitter account to see them.
Two days ago a bunch of us received texts and calls regarding Tutweiler being put on lockdown. Apparently there was a gunman and a threat made on the alpha phi bid day video. During this, a bunch of random rumors went around like a joker walking around with a gun. The Joker, who didn't have a gun, was from lambda chi's scavenger hunt with pledges. Every one was panicking and the school didn't send out an email until a bit past 12 in the morning if I recall correctly. Nothing was found but the school basically brushed it off as a joke because nothing was found at tut. During that night the RA's weren't notified of the event and basically got their information from twitter and the sort. Some went around telling students to lock their doors and stay in, others were oblivious to it because they hadn't been told.
Fast forward to yesterday. Some sororities were told to stay off campus and recommended to not attend class. They were also told not to wear there letters. The random rumor going around now was that it was going to happen at 9:29, when the equinox started. Personally I don't get that one but a large portion of campus was wary of that time.it passed and nothing happened. About forty minutes later I received a text with a screen shot of a second threat. Apparently it was sent to a students email. The student who received it was telling everyone to be safe on Facebook and it was the most popular post. The school claims the second threat was made known to them earlier in the day but we weren't notified about it until social media got a hold of it and it blew up. So far some classes are canceled due to students being afraid to attend and my exams have been pushed back until thursday.
Tl, dr; two threats made against Greek life regarding treatment of minorities. Some classes canceled and some arent. Some of the student body is upset with the seemingly slow and vague response by the school. Lots of rumors going around as well but the main issue is the pendragon threats. FBI is involved.

Me too. I think the chief concern is this Pendragon making threats in comments on YouTube. May turn out to be a hoax but they have to take it seriously. On top of that there are a bunch of bogus rumors and false "reports" popping up on places like twitter and yik yak (had to look up what that is). Guessing some people think it's funny to try to scare the shite out of people. Problem is police have to waste time checking out all the bogus reports too

When googling Arthur Pendragon news, there is some dude who believes he is King Arthur reincarnated and is having a big spiritual day on the equinox today. May be where the equinox rumors came in
