It has become painfully obvious that JD is just a below average QB. He hasn't improved at all since '12. This style of offense is for JD and he still can't play in it. If WM is going to hitch his wagon to a below average QB, just turn in the resignation now. Below average QB's aren't the standard at UF.

I couldn't agree with you more. Watched his postgame and he didn't really take any blame for the loss he would start to say I then change it to we. I understand there were dropped balls and the D played like crap but the o line kept him clean and gave him time and he still couldn't complete a pass. Tebow after the Ole Miss loss looked like his dog died that's how much it meant to him. Driskel on the other hand looked like he wanted to hit the Taco Bell drive thru on the way home.

I felt Driskel played dumb this game. He kept trying to force it down field instead of take the underneath, easy stuff. Maybe he was too hyped to play Bama and wanted the knock out punch. If we can coach him to be more disciplined, he might have a decent year. You really can't underestimate the amount of time it takes to transition into a new offense.

With that said, I do agree I'm ready for Grier or Harris to start. Just don't think this year is the right time for them. There needs to be a true open competition next year though.

But he still has the same problems as before.

No production at running the ball (Saban had our offense completely stuffed rushing wise).

No protection from the Oline.

Bizarre playcalling that has Driskel throwing over 30 yards right from the git go for no real reason.

This whole game was a mess, and it's not all Driskel's fault. There was some horrendous (and I mean horrendous) drops where if you throw the ball absolutely perfect and they fail to come down with it on third and long...

Well that can make you hesitate down the line because you try to adjust later. You don't trust their reflexes, so you have to make extra sure that they're ready to get the ball.

It's easy to blame Driskel, but our entire team is absolutely broken. The entire coaching staff (save Roper) needs to be removed and we need to rebuild from scratch.

Muschamp is the guy to blame, period.

Driskel didn't give up 641 yards of offense.

Let's get a different, more applicable whipping boy.

JD was awful tonight and realistically will never amount to much, but I'm not going to pull the plug on him in favor of a true freshman after a rough game on the road against the #2 team in the country.

And it's not like he was sole reason we lost tonight. We were outclassed at every position. Had it not been for those few lucky breaks we caught early, we would have lost by 50. The secondary is hot shite outside of VH3. The pass rush was nonexistent. Our O-line sucks balls. The WRs are overrated and can't catch. Our RBs are a positive, but sadly we can't block for them.

Enough scapegoats. The WM era should have ended after last season, and every game he coaches this program is simply wasted effort. We're staring at another season where we'll be fighting for bowl eligibility. Is that what we want?

He's been awful, but I'm really starting to question if he's just a bad QB, or if there is a systemic problem at florida. Like, if he transferred, would he still be garbage? I'm not so sure.

Ever since Tebow left:

Brantley - Major Hype. Major Bust.
Brissett - Couldn't beat out Driskel, now he's a stud at NC State.
Driskel - Massive Hype. Massive Bust.

And to a degree, Tebow's senior season was really frustrating. We had a plethora of talent, we were really good... and yet we looked like we had no idea what we were doing.

And that is just the QB position. When was the last time we had a player... ANY PLAYER... live up to the hype? Easley maybe? (he got injured before he really proved himself)

This year I once again bought all the hype about Hargreaves and Fowler being the best players in the country at their positions. What a fricking joke. Now, they are both fine players, but neither of them are close to the best player at their position.

I could name a laundry list of huge 5* busts, but it is really hard to find a guy in recent memory who has lived up to his high expectations.

At some point, this goes beyond getting unlucky and you have to call it a problem with the program. You can't possibly swing and miss on so many highly touted recruits.

frick.
