He's also taken the wrong approach to recruiting Texas. You can't possibly go after two coaches (Sumlin and Briles) who are entrenched in the minds of the H.S. football coaches and have assistants with strong roots when you don't have any ties at all.
Bringing your coordinators from Louisville is nice, but you MUST have strong Texas recruiters on your staff as assistant coaches and he's already behind Sumlin, Briles, Stoops, Gundy, Patterson, and Kingsbury in building relationships.

There was literally no Big XII self love until realignment. None whatsoever. Since then I have seen Longhorns cheer for OU 2x. Never happened before realignment.
It's hilarious to me that Texas has a lot of concern about their conference brethren when during our days, everybody hoped everybody else lost.

thats what im sayin. i dont give a frick about texas, the big12 or a&m for that matter. texas as a state is a pretty cool place and ima huge cowboys fan, but everyone gets a little carried away with all the school pride, etc. they are all obsessed with each other. there is the whole bama/barn thing here, but a lot of us really dont care about it outside of football.

Big 12 is weird. It lost four teams to three conferences, but the big bad wolf is always just the SEC.
