Unbiased Daily: Auburn was the better team last night

I keep hearing how Kansas State lost the game more than Auburn won, and how K-State gave away all their chances with momentum killing plays like the end zone dropped pass for an INT and 3 missed field goals
While there is truth to that, the better teams make more plays, and Auburn made more plays. There were over 100 plays ran last night, and Auburn made more plays, period. They made defensive stops, shut down the K-State ground game, and converted more scoring chances.
Auburn was the better team last night, accept it and move on

You will get railroaded for this but I actually agree with you. If KSU was the better team they would have put more points on the board.

More like the less terrible team

Auburn is a much better team than KSU, but on the field last night we were barely better. Nice to learn tough lessons and still get the W.

It's possible that KSU "should have won" but that Auburn is still the better team.
I don't think KSU should have won, Auburn missed about as many chances and KSU was fortuitous in some ways (no penalties), but they certainly had shots.
But I do think we're 10-14 points better than them in general, and that margin may grow some if we can use this game as a jumping off point.

Auburn is clearly a better team overall than KSU. They didn't play especially well last night, though. Who's to say that they wouldn't have come alive if KSU had managed to put those FGs on the board (like LSU did against Wisky).
Either way, I wish you guys had lost and had a great time giving you shite last night, but no one really thinks AU is garbage. They are not 12-0 or 11-1 good, though.

Auburn score more points. They were not the better team.

Anybody besides me think Malzahn shoulda kicked a FG at the end of the game? I thought we went into Victory formation too soon.
Cover the freakin spread Gus at least.

Given the way turnovers and field goals shook out, I have to say that game was a helluva lot closer to a solid KSU win than it was a solid Auburn win.
If I was an AP voter I would put Auburn #6 and KSU #17

Sorry but all I saw was KSU shooting themselves in the foot.

Auburn had a better kicker last night.

A win is a win, but I think Auburn has a long way to go if they are going to meet pre-season expectations.

Auburn's missing Tre Mason.

KState isn't nearly as bad as the SEC tards would let you believe.
Auburn is a 9 or 10 win team, but Kstate is a solid Big 12 program.
The game didn't have any effect on Auburn's chances to win the SEC, so I'm not surprised with the flat performance in their first true road game.

I think LSU fans can understand your point.
We've been there and had everyone telling us we should've lost. At the end of the day, all that matters is: did you win? Auburn won and come November, no one will give 2 craps about this game the same way no one cared about the MSU win for you guys last year.
