Kind of hard to hurt the SEC reputation when everyone already knew UT was bad. OU beating Alabama was much more damaging.

Nope -- everybody knows its just UTk -- no hit to the SEC prestige. Sort of like beating Vandy

Tennessee is the second worst team in the SEC. No shame in them losing to the best of the Big 12.

Nope....I think OU is overrated after that game. WV will beat them this week.

The team that was unanimously picked to finish dead last in the West just went to Lubbock and broke their foot off in Techs arse. I think it's safe to say the SEC's rep is just fine.

Probably not much in the long run, but ESPN has been all day raving about how BGB "made another statement" against the SEC, running his career record vs. the SEC to 5-4. It's weird how the consensus favorite (or at least co-favorite) of the Big XII winning at home over a bottom-tier SEC team somehow makes a statement, but a bottom-tier SEC team winning on the road against a mid-tier Big XII team apparently doesn't mean as much.

Watched the game yesterday and it could have been closer. Some terrible play calling on the Vols part.

You have to assume all the talk this year will be for teams relevant to the playoffs, everyone not in that conversation is only going to get attention when they play someone who is in the conversation.

by week 10 all the national conversation will be on ~10 teams and if they can beat whoever they are playing that week.
