We couldn't hear what the penalty was. Was it legit?

Sideline infraction.

Still confused me because we got to keep the points and we got the ball on a single untimed down.

Not familiar with the particulars of the rule.

I THINK we got a warning sometime in early 2nd quarter.

What a shite show that last play was.

after the block a number of guys came on the field to celebrate. It was the correct call.

tbird - Not sure what you are talking about. We didn't keep the points. I think the untimed down was a mistake on the refs part though. Untimed downs are for defensive infractions. Maybe they judged we were the defense on that play but since it's a turnover on downs, I'm not sure it makes sense.

1. Penn Wagers is one of, if not the most incompetent ref in college football

2. The ball should have been dead the second Armani Watts touched it as you can't advance a blocked FG that crosses the line of scrimmage.

yes you can. They teach them not to touch it because if you touch it first it becomes a live ball and it's like trying to pick up a fumble - lots of mistakes happen.

Additionally, if Rice touches it first the ball is dead and we get it from where it was kicked anyway, so he had to return it like 20 yards just to break even. But Watts was absolutely allowed to return that.

They showed Sumlin on the sideline right after the penalty was called and he looked pissed. He wasn't pissed at the refs. He was staring at the bench, players, etc.. with a tight jaw.

Based on his reaction, it was definitely the right call by the refs.

Sumlin was livid

I wouldn't have wanted to be in that locker room at the half.
