So we need Pack to catch a punt and hand the ball to the ref? We have no one else who can fair catch? Seriously?

It's like you forgot how shitty we were at this last year.

Yes. We need Markell Pack to do this. It sucks, but it's reality.

The decision on Gates is as puzzling as Pack. Polk played b/c Freeze made the numbnut decision to sit the elder Nkem. Bad decision.

Bad decision? Denzel was being a shithead all of last year. He needed a damn reality check. It didn't at all hurt us to not have him out there against Boise, so I'm not sure why you think it was that bad of a decision.

Teams burning redshirts is a trend in CFB. First, there is the pressure to win NOW on coaches. Second, star players are leaving for the NFL early so you might as well play the players who can help you now.

Also, high schools are doing a better job with weight training than in years past so a lot of players arrive on campus ready for action. Finally, a fair number of players are arriving each year in January which gives them a leg up.

Bottom line: the days of redshirting most of a class are long gone.
