If you were an NFL owner and had to pick an SEC coach right now

Factor in everything - experience, age, everything.
I think Saban and Spurrier are too old at this point, and they and Miles both seem to be much more suited to the college game. Most of the other coaches haven't proven enough, so you're left with trying to get someone whose potential ceiling is worth the risk.
Sumlin or Malzahn? I would go with Sumlin, taking everything into account.

It would be hilarious to watch Leslie coach in the National Football League, so him.

Bert... he already has NFL size.

Sumlin is the better coach, but I don't think either coach would be successful in the NFL

NFL teams are already offering Sumlin jobs.

Why is sumlin a better coach. Not saying you're wrong just wondering what he's done to prove he is better

Same age as Pete Carroll

Out of all 10 replies?
Tell me why you think Sumlin is a better coach. I'll hang up and listen.

OP, just rename this thread who is a better coach. Gus or Sumlin. That's what is going to happen here.

Sumlin is more innovative, better recruiter, and has a more proven track record as a head coach.

How is that not the exact same thing?

Coaching NFL =/= coaching NCAA.
Sumlin may be better for the NFL but that doesn't mean he's the better NCAA coach.
