Missing the point though. Johnson didn't have a single run on the read option. It is a read option not a handoff. I directly attribute two failed 3rd and shorts with CAP to Arkansas stacking the box and playing the handoff the whole way


Even Chris Todd kept the D offense and got 4 yards and a QB Power slide. Jeremy Johnson should be able to get 5 + slide or truck a CB who is half his size

Yep, one of those was an obvious keep for the QB. For all we know, Gus just told him to hand it off every time. Though, the TD pass to Ray was sort of a read option keeper. If the DB had gone with Ray, he more than likely would have tucked it.
