Speaking of rules as you were pointing out I guess there were a certain segment that never qualified for the games but were on the list? There was some issue raised about a participant not choosing captains and still others that picked teams that weren't playing or naming participants as captains who weren't part of the games. Also, in reviewing the original thread "Wisonsin" was named as a team on some ballots and I saw this word in turn pasted on a number of other ballots. Is "Wisonsin" even a team?
So technicalities abound and how many will survive this demise?

If WG wants to make his case to Jefferson...let him. No point in anybody else getting involved. It is between them.
Jefferson is a big boy and can defend himself when/if he feels the need. it doesn't hurt to allow WG to present his case. It is none of any body elses business.
That said, I wish WG was in the games, personally. I don't like to see a rift between Dawg fans. I wish we could get along instead of being a dysfunctional family. Sometimes things like this happen, and either they eventually let it go and bury the hatchet, or they don't.
Everybody chiming in and taking sides does no one any good. Everybody should just step back and let them work it out in their own way and in their own time.

The uncertainty of the Games is part of what sets them apart, a large part. Tis part of the grandeur of the Games.
While I like WG, and wish he was in The Games, I saw this coming. Jefferson clearly said for people to nominate two people for captains "IN CASE IT IS NEEDED." That is what is called foreshadowing. He hinted strongly that the nominations would play some role, and it did. I have no problem with the way it went down.
