Last week I mentioned that my American Government class was let out only 15 minutes in on the first day. Some attributed that to being syllabus day (a reasonable point.)
Our class hasn't seen this woman since. Three straight classes since then, everyone looks around at each other, 5-10 minutes into the class a student walks in and says "Y'all can go, not gonna have class today."
She hasn't put the class up online. No emails to anyone. She hasn't even given anybody a syllabus for her course.
Immigrants have better American Government classes than this.

Read the text if it interests you.
It just sounds like a class you took for an easy elective.

And something tells me she'll still expect everything on the syllabus that she hasn't given out to be done on time.
How the rest of you older students on the rant doing? Rest of my classes are pretty damn good. Hot teachers in skirts.

I have been because it does, but as Will Hunting pointed out, I think I've "dropped a hundred and fifty grand on a frickin' education you coulda' got for a dollar fifty in late charges at the library."

Yes...a lot of intro classes are pretty much a teacher babysitting you into reading a book.

I remember my first day as a freshman in American Government. Professor asked us what the 2 major parties are...everyone said Democrat and Republican of course.
He then told us we were wrong and that it was between blacks and whites. I shite you not

I had a prof ask the same question, but he said we were wrong it was rich and poor.

Should be brought to the Dean of department's attention. With today's cost of higher education you are getting robbed - or your parents are.

I'm 28 and a Sophomore, does that count as older?
So far college as been a breeze for me. I believe it's that whole "putting things into prospective" thing that living in the real world does to you.

It hasn't been easy, but it's a whole different perspective as the older and settled student. I think it's my growing desire to not be stuck in rooms with 18-22 year olds anymore. I will miss the bitches though. God bless summer time on college campuses.

I puked at this use of a semi colon.
When you get viagra as a college graduation present, you're doing it wrong.

I don't mind being in class with people younger than myself. The people that are older than me are the ones who are bothersome. It's like they insist on voicing their baseless opinions just for the sake of hearing themselves speak. They're like Sleeping Tiger, except I have to listen to them rabble in real life.

For me, it's not that they are younger but more just that they are at a different station in life.
What's your major btw?
