With my B.S. in Biology. What are some potential jobs to take right out of school? I want something that will potentially pay for graduate school in the future, as well as provide a solid income.

I really love Biology, but I don't understand the different careers well. Fwiw I will also have a minor in chemistry. Also don't want to be in a lab all day... preferably something outdoors.

Why not just go straight to grad school? Most schools provide a stipend and pay tuition.

Off the top of my head the highest paying jobs for a B.S. in biology would probably be with a research supply company like Siemens. Those guys who travel around selling research equipment make really good money.

My brother in law was a bio major and got a job with Bloomberg right out of college. Now he is a regional sales manger for all of the mid Atlantic states at 29. Don't think majors matter too much.

Good luck boss Easiest job to find will be as a lab tech somewhere.. most jobs you probably picture in your mind require 3-5 years of experience. You could probably get hired on as a zoo keeper if you're okay making $26k/year working 50 hours a week

This is gonna make it tough on you. I switched to engineering strictly because there isn't much out there that doesn't fit this description until you finish grad school. If you're really interested in being outside, I would look at wildlife and fisheries or the forestry service. The pay will absolutely suck but it could give you some direction for grad school.

One of my Sons got his B.S in Biology then went into Pharmaceutical sales immediately out of college. He did real well, got married a few years ago. Now his company is paying him to go back to school to work on his Masters and after that they pay him to work on his PhD ... he wants to get into some sort of microbiological genetic engineering or something. His wife got her degree in Marine Biology and she got a great job too ... she commutes to Charleston every day. Both of them were knocking down well into six figures before they got married.

Have a good buddy that graduated with a 3.6 in bio. He mixes weight loss supplements at his dad's business.

I know another one who got a 4.0 in bio and got into med school. He walks around downtown charleston to all the bars trying to get people to invest in a "consulting business" he started after leaving a short stint as a financial advisor.

Another one got his masters and is now an accountant in ATL.

You should prolly have this Convo with your advisor, and not the with the great minds of TD. in all honesty.

My advisor was great when it came to any questions and knew exactly what direction to point me in.

Now if I actually listened to my advisor is a while different story haha

You're fricked. I don't know any ballers with that as their major. You're wasting someone's money.

How good a student are you? If A student, the pharmaceutical companies could be of interest to you.

Medical school is also an option if you have great grades.

I know a lady who got her undergrad in biology and went to work for the Fed Gov doing something with protected species. She basically travels and makes reports, earns 92k and has been there for 9 years.
