Gary has maintained for some time now that he doesn't have a clear cut leader, or even a firm list. That'll all come in time. And, apparently, it'll come when his mother, Jennifer Coney, feels comfortable with the end result.

"I'm just making sure my mom feels comfortable at the school I'll be at for three or four years," Gary told AL.com this week at The Opening in Oregon. "Having her come down for a game and making sure it's close enough. With my mom behind me, I'm as powerful as ever.

"If that's right and the food's good, I'm happy."

Gary's mother makes as many recruiting visits with her son as possible. During Gary's vist to Michigan last month -- his second unofficial trip -- his mother was along for the ride to see the entire Michigan presentation.

Apparently, she was impressed. Gary doesn't have a list just yet, but mom knows two schools that will certainly be on it.

"You can know for sure Michigan is going to make the cut," she told 247sports last month. "You know Auburn is going to make the cut. Those two schools I love."
