Stephen Davis Jr. says we're now recruiting him as a LB/S rather than S. He'll play LB for his HS this fall where he's been in the secondary the past 3 years. He said at the opening he doesn't care what position he plays in college

from what the Rivals folks say, the hesitancy to go all in for Davis is sort of a similar (yet different) issue as with Mack Wilson. His mindset isn't that of a "knock your dick in the dirt" defensive player like Muschamp wants. He's more of a finesse guy.

My hope is that maybe him playing linebacker will get him to love contact a little more.

Not in the Scout interview I saw yesterday from The Opening. He said nobody led. Those close to him still think it's an AU Michigan battle at the moment.

It kills them when one of a few people are right about something.

AUC notes LINK

-AU staff confident we land 4* 2017 QB Lowell Narcisse when he commits on July 27th

-A recruit committed to an AU rival team says he thinks Antwuan picks AU.

-AU still very much in it for Nate Craig
-May visit for the big recruiting weekend in late July

-staff feels good about 5* 2017 LB Markail Benton

-same with 2017 4* RB Allaric Williams

Lord, please let this season go well. THEN, let Muschamp decide to stay awhile. Amen.

please let this happen....but I'd still be shocked until he signs.

If we take 2 QBs in this class w/ Woody and Pass then sure. But I really would be concerned if we shut down our QB recruiting w/ his commitment.

Pass ran a 4.73 40 and only had a 32" vert at the opening. We've backed off on him.

Not sure if type but Stephen Davis Jr's. #s from the opening

6'2 209
4.44 40
38.4

No way we can pass on a guy with numbers like that!

Also Wesley Sinor of AL.com cb'd Wr Kyle Davis to AU.

AL.com interviewed his father and he basically said he wants his son in a spread offense and he likes D Craig a lot. He doesn't buy what UGA is selling his son on their offense.

Sounds great for AU if his father has a strong bearing on the decision

Let's be honest, Davis Jr probably needs to be playing offense. He is a physical freak for sure, but as E said earlier, doesn't seem to have the mentality of a defensive player. He could be a stud of a WR if he can learn the position. We definitely need to keep him though, whatever position he ends up, he is a physical freak.

Not getting my hopes up but maybe there is something to the Kyle Davis and AU thing. UGA board is pitching a bitch fit over him.

I mean how could anyone want to go to a school that has played for 2 national titles in the last 5 years and has more SEC titles in the last 11 years than UGA has in 30+ and more perfect seasons in 20 years than UGA has in 70+?

One of them even got so upset he resorted to bringing the AU players getting shot.

Would be crazy if we landed NCM, Kyle Davis, Binjimin Victor, and Eli Stove

They're good people, honestly. There's a guy or two that goes way far but we have those people here too.

Doesn't matter really

That would be, but would we take 4 WR's?

Those 4 we would but we'll be doing very well to get 2 of them.

You can't possibly live in Georgia if you think that!

They're as bad, or worse, than Bama fans for the most part.....and have almost none of the success.

Savannah is different than other areas. People here have a lot to do and there's tons of northerners to even things out
