Where do you live? If it's closer to the stadium than where I'm planning on parking, I'll park there just so I can take my tailgating stuff back to the car before the game.

I got an lsu Uga ticket in 2009 for $100, 40 yd line, about 25 rows up. If I can find a deal like that decked out in lsu gear, surely you can do the same

Yea and as has been said if you're willing to wait for post kick off you'll be good.
I just can't risk that.

Yeah, I got my ticket 10 minutes before kickoff, I was getting a little nervous

I've watched a game at Toppers before.. the dancing stops & they will have a bigscreen., Strippers sit in laps.

One year, when I was like 15, one of the ticket dudes was going to sneak me in through a back entrance for like $50 dollars. I wouldn't have had a seat or a ticket. It was pretty sketchy. Ended up buying a ticket for $80

You can do the same thing at bourbon for the price of a fishbowl.

Back in the day a folded $20 bill was all the ticket you needed at the gate....something changed about 2000 or so and I haven't been able to pull that off...of course after being denied once i haven't tried again....

One word...Tailgate! Tickets are great but there is some to be said about a good tailgate!

I hope to do the same for the UT game. Haven't been in Athens since 09 so I'm itching to go.

Not gonna read all the replies but I'll tell you that randomly coming across extra tickets in Athens isn't like it used to be.
First of all, the counterfeiters are much more sophisticated than they used to be. Don't buy from a scalper. Secondly, they'll often use scalping to launder counterfeit money. They will take your $100 bill for a $65 ticket and give you $35 in change in counterfiet bills. You won't even notice because you are inspecting your ticket.
Just don't bother with scalpers on the street.
If you just need 1 ticket and don't give a shite what section you are in, you are likely to get lucky.
Don't bother with the bridge. That's where everyone has their fingers in the air. Try to get your ticket before you even start walking that direction.
Personally, I go on Stub Hub and pick them up at the Tate Center. Sure, they are marked up a little, and there is a convenience fee, but if you add in the cost of what the donations are and being forced to buy tickets for all the shite games, then divide that back out for the games you actually want to see, the prices on Stub Hub actually aren't bad at all.

Pulled this off as senior in HS for the '07 blackout game. 4 of us handed the guy taking tickets $50 each and walked in to the endzone student section, no questions asked.

Yes, I have heard of them getting smarter. Even fake tickets that look real. Might see if stubhub goes any lower then snatch one. Seems like most are looking for a pair or more so maybe I'll get a reasonable price on there. Absolute worst case scenario, I watch in HD downtown.

you tried Craigslist?...i dont know about Athens, but if you want tickets for the Cocktail Party in Jax...that is the first place we always look...alot of times I will meet up with the seller days in advance and have my ticket...then not have to worry about dealing with the BS of finding one on game day...beware of scammers and serial killers though...

I've had great experience selling there, but shitty experiences buying.
I prefer the buying experience on StubHub.

Been checking regularly. Most of them on there are pretty damn expensive.
