I just don't see how LSU, being far worse than last year's 3 loss team, is going to make much noise this season

The offense will take a step or two back, but the Oline and defense will both be much better.

Oh dear Lord, now I know you don't follow football very much

You just lost all credibility. Will not even bother arguing your comments anymore. Will save my responses for people with actual knowledge

They've got more talent than LSU now, much more momentum, and are even in coaching. Obviously TAMU is on a much better trajectory than LSU overall, but I'm not sure whether that'll translate into anything on the field.

Literally none of this is true.

From reading various assessments of LSU, the Oline will be somewhat/marginally better, and the defense will be, optimistically, as good as previously.

I'm sure you get better info than me, although I'm guessing it is a little more tinged with optimism.

It's all true.

TAMU has stockpiled young talent. LSU has a few nice pieces, and far more experienced talent. But in raw talent, there is no comparison; TAMU owns that discussion.

The momentum is definitely swinging toward TAMU. Young, vibrant coach, best WR stolen from your backyard, far better QB talent, essentially new stadium.

Add in that TAMU is taking over LSU's role as the western school in the conference (it was brought in to shore up that side for the network), could essentially purchase schools like LSU, Arky, Auburn, etc., and has a far bigger fan base, and I'd definitely say the trajectory is higher.

LSU has done amazing things with limited resources, but now they're pitted against a school which will likely become a rival, and that rival essentially does everything you do, only better. Well, except for on the field, but I have to assume that will change, as should you.

Hey, those things would gnaw at me too if I were an LSU guy. I can understand why you'd respond that way.

LSU just pulled in the 2nd best recruiting class in the nation so this entire point is bullshite.

A young coach who couldn't even win CUSA and hasn't finished higher than 3rd in the west? LSS pulled in 2/3 of the top 3 WRs in the country last year and both fit LSU's scheme better than Noil. I must have hallucinated all of the renovations to Tiger Stadium.....

It's fine to disagree, some of this is subjective. But ignorance? Come on. Try and keep your wits.

There is no question TAMU is a more powerful school and a bigger brand. That's a fact. That's why they were brought in to pick up a huge swath of territory LSU couldn't really make an impact in.

There is also no dispute that TAMU has more money than LSU.
