The first two pages are enough to make this thread a classic

AU leads in both, at least according to the NCAA database. But when you have as many as UA and AU, there's not much to be gained by arguing about it. Both just come off looking worse.

How is it shrinking when it was 6 just 7 years ago and now it is 7? It did shrink by one last year if that is all you are going by.

It was between 11 and 9 for two decards and now has been in the single digits for 13 years...it will remains so.

I think most people know that referring to Auburn as little bro is similar to auburn, cow college, or on the other end UAT, Gump, Updykes, etc. the real truth is that Auburn has a fine history in college football, they should be respected for that. Most likely a top 15 program of all time, or maybe higher. By the same token Alabama has had a more successful run, most likely top five all time and possibly number one. No reason to tear down either, they are both the truth. Now, do I pull against Auburn and hard for Alabama, you bet I do. Does last year still eat me up, not so much anymore, cause we got football back in three weeks boys!!!!!

I guess you got your answer. 15 pages of "we're not Lil bro!" pretty much screams Lil bro.

a 41 year hiatus during which alabama was a dominant national football power and auburn was nothing skews the numbers a bit. the first game back after the hiatus alabama won 55-0, to give you an idea of where the 2 were relative to each other. the resumption of the series is the only reason we are talking about auburn football at all now, and ever since their program is completely defined as a counterpoint and foil to ours, irrelevant on their own. even now ~80% of the football world thinks auburn is in georgia.

It seems you don't know the difference between permanent and temporary.

We split the first 10 games 5-5.

I respect the Auburn football program and the school overall. All the Auburn grads I know personally are a credit to the university and are mostly cool folks. I can even muster the grace to pull for Auburn in most non conference games. The only thing that I find really annoying about Auburn people is the almost delusional cultish group think mentality they have when they get together in groups. They have this delusional idea about the morality of their school in comparison to everyone else. This idea that they are above the heathen actions that they associate with Alabama and even other SEC schools and that they are a truly elite school. In short, they are as arrogant about Auburn's standing in the academic world as Alabama fans are about Alabama's standing in the college football world minus the corresponding accomplishments.

Auburn an above average school with a top 15 football history? Absolutely. Auburn an elite school while Alabama a trade school like I've actually heard a few Auburn people argue? Laughable.

P.S. Not to nitpick, but Alabama has been in front of the infractions committee a total of 5 times, not 6. That includes 4 football (a relatively minor case in the 60s, the Langham case, the Means case, the textbook case which was one case involving multiple sports) and once in basketball.

Saban could continue at his current rate and have it to double digits by 2019.

You think they're gonna blow up that whole wall just for the sake of this argument? That fixture is permanent unless Auburn has a random change of heart that I guess Alabama isn't their rival anymore who they have based their whole program around for years.

When Alabama "lil bro's" it's pretty much always temporary or taped on to a locker. Some might have personal motivations that deal with other teams but for the most part, you can observe that those posters are usually just taped or laminated and then after the arse whipping happens, they are thrown away.

IMO the fact that Auburn is only 7 wins away from evening up the series makes them far from "lil bro" status

I'm not reading all 15 pages, but it helps Auburn that we didn't play each other during the 20s and 30s when UA was really good.

That is just bull. Auburn fans are not different, and I seriously doubt that the majority of them have degrees or have someone in the family that does. Auburn fans are just as obnoxious as Bama fans, except that they deny it.
The only people that you can convince that Auburn is full of these sophisticated fans are the people that have never been to Auburn.

Can't get much more lil bro than never again, and Updyke so don't try with that.

Getting a paint team to recreate the path of Chris Davis just for a recruiting pitch (as if they haven't already seen the video) is very little bro.

And hey, even though those Auburn teams were lack luster....Auburn didn't score another offensive touchdown in Bama for 2 years
