In today's edition of Unbiased Daily: Your source for unbiased SEC discussion, we discuss Texas A&M's new QBs ability to recreate Johnny's Magic.
How much of A&M's offensive success is solely contributed to JFF the past 2 seasons? Can the new QB whoever it may be, do the same and create the same magic?
I refer to you this play of the 2013 Chick Fil A Peach Bowl: LINK
If Johnny doesn't make that play, its 3rd and 7 or worse if he gets sacked. Instead he houdinis his way out of it and throws an easy TD pass.
Or this play in 2013 Alabama: LINK
He turns a big 3rd down loss and punting situation into a first down and within the red zone.
Those are only plays I think Johnny could make. Can Kyle Allen do that? Can Kenny Hill do that? And think of all the times Johnny made a play like that, creating a positive gain when the play looked doom. I can think of several times it happened, against Alabama in 2012 and 2013 especially.
I think A&M's offense will drop off, not because they lost 3 first round picks on offense, but because they won't have a QB to be able to make a play out of nothing like Johnny could.

You are a semi-coherent version of Killz.

You have a slight obsession with A&M IMO.

People might actually believe you're a USC fan if you posted about USC or anything other than Texas A&M for that matter.

No, he'll be able to lose to LSU just like Johnny Int.

There will likely never be another JFF but that certainly doesn't mean A&M won't be successful offensively. For one thing, JFF had flaws as well and often tried to do too much. He would try to force plays, he passed up check downs to try for big gains, and he ran the ball a lot.
It's not like A&M lacks skill talent around the QB and the overall depth is better than what JFF had though Mike Evans wasn't human at times. The main job of the QB is going to be to get the ball to the playmakers and not turn the ball over. Do that and A&M probably averages 40 points a game again. Will the QB have as many crazy highlights as JFF? No, but who the hell would?
Regardless, A&M's season won't live or die on that side of the line anyway. It's all about if the defense can decide to stop the other team from scoring every once in a while since last year that didn't happen very often.

Johnny never finished Higher than 3rd in the west... Kyle Allen will win the west during his tenure. So while this year might be a learning curve we will be fine after we get him some snaps.

There's probably no way I could have known their freshman QB isn't as good as Johnny, until you told me

Goood ole Johnny boi couldnt beat da Tigers! A&M is just never going to get over the hump to win the SEC. They will be the new Ole Miss. Greatest talent of all time under center and couldnt do shite with it.

Tee Martin couldn't make the plays Peyton Manning made.

Well let's see. Matt Joeckel looked decent against rice, even though he's got way too slow/long throwing mechanics for the offense. He moved from second to third on our depth chart, and is the favorite to start for your horned frogs. So I guess that says it all?

Just as a point of reference, this is nugget's 16th thread about A&M in the last year.

I hope he replicates what Johnny did to a tee
