Directv agent just told me that they got an internal memo that they will have the SEC Network at launch.

The reports last week said Directv was close to an agreement. The memo referenced said the agreement was made.

There's something happenin here. What it is ain't exactly clear. There's a man with a gun over there tellin me I've got to beware.

I think it's time we stop. Children, what's that sound? Everybody look what's going down.

Talking with Tiffany with Directv right now, cancelling my service. Shoulda done had it for their customers at this point. I've used them for 14 yrs. Shane with Dish is outside right now hooking me up.

The dude who hooked up my Time Warner yesterday had a sweet mohawk.

This is the best thread ever.

Well Tiffany should have informed your Gump redneck self that you will be staring at nothing until the 14th anyway

Eh, they're going to have it. I called threatening to quit last week. Got a big break on my bill ($40/month) plus NFL Sunday ticket max for free for another year, which is programming that no one else comes close to offering. You "shoulda done" waited.

Spoke with Jessica at Dish this morning about moving 3 resident and 1 business connection to Dish from DirecTv.

Dish must not be swamped in my area - she said the all 3 resident locations could be hooked up today and the business on Thursday.

That being said, I'm not pulling the trigger until launch day. I'm not concerned with missing launch day as much as I am opening day.

Excellent, this ends Cox's trump card on my address (Uverse wasn't available)

I got a free GenieGo for complaining, by the way.

I tried to do that online, but they were going to tack on the $100 gateway for internet, which I already have. They said I'd have to call them which will probably take forever

I switched to Uverse last month since they gave me a good deal between the TV/premium channels and internet, and so far, I am really liking it.

I may watch the SEC network if they ever put LSU events on.

I have my misgivings about it as the previews and marketing always end up showing bryant or saban in the beginning and end up with them as a still video on the screen at the end of every single ad, which is pretty fricking nauseating....

I think the live programming will be the only reason to watch SECn. The talking heads/on-air "talent" are going to be tough to slog through. Where you are in luck is that Alabama is really only THAT program in football. The rest of the sports will likely be pretty evenly divided.

I want it (already had the internet, which was outstanding), but it's not available at my new address

If DirecTV's getting SEC Network, they're sure not telling their service representatives.
