Starting off the season with an SEC opponent is just dumb.....even though it's bottom-feeder nobody Arkansas.

Then they take a bye the 3rd week after playing a brutal San Jose State team. Much needed rest obviously, as they return from their bye fresh and ready for Kansas State & Louisiana Tech....well placed first bye week indeed.

Then they finish off the year with 6 straight games, 5 of which are SEC games. At least they scheduled a cupcake at home the week before the IB. Terrible scheduling imo. Guess they don't have that Birmingham pull like big brother huh?

That's why Jay Jacobs gets paid the big bucks.

It's all because of the bama grad controlling the schedules. I read it here.

How about A&M at USCe i like it gives you time to get back into playoffs later on if you win out, instead of losing late.

Jacobs wanted to schedule a cupcake team for the season opener, but Foley declined.

We Aggies got it way worse I think.
Opening at USCe >> Opening versus Arky

Bye week before ULM -_-

With the UGA game rotation getting messed up Auburn's schedule is going to be really awkward and alternate between very hard (even years) and very easy (odd years).

It makes a lot more sense to have the UGA/Bama games staggered as home/away each year rather than both the same.

I think they scheduled well. All of fall camp to prepare for Arky. Two weeks to prepare for KSU. Patsy before LSU. Off week before USCe. Patsy and two weeks before Bama.

I wouldn't hate that schedule if I were an AU fan.

La Tech would have beaten Florida the last 5 seasons.

I think the schedule actually sets up well. You have the worse team in the SEC as an opener followed by nearly three weeks to prepare for a road game against K State. Then nearly three weeks to prepare for LSU at home. By the time you play your tough 5 week stretch, you should be well rested and know what your younger players can do. They have an open week before USC and Samford before Alabama. The key to the season will be the USC game at home.

I fricking hate the back to back away games with UA and UGA. I don't care if next year it rotates to home and home, every other year our season tickets BLOW as a result. A guaranteed home match against a big time rival in the homestretch of the season and PFFFT just like it is gone because these slap dicks at the SEC office don't have a fricking clue how to manage scheduling.

Go to 9 fricking SEC games and be fricking done with it, god damn clowns.
