Why does a Mizzou fan care about being disrespected in a thread labeled "Will Missouri make it back to the SEC Chamipionship Game?". I care about my team? The lack of respect Mizzou has received this off season in general after finishing #5 and winning the SEC East would never happen to any other team in this conference. For some reason everyone loves to shite on Mizzou, and honestly, it gets old, even when you punch half the conference in the mouth, they don't shut up.

I can respect that. But, from our limited perspective, that was a sucker punch. Before you got here I'm not sure many SEC fans could tell you where Mizzou was located. As I'm sure your SEC knowledge was cursory at best. So our first real interaction with you guys was the unfortunate display of 2012.
If you guys do continue to play well, winning at a high level and competing every game, then you will still get shite on... it's a message board, FFS. But you have to earn that respect in more than one year when we're paying attention (and even then it will be a begrudging respect, at best). I'm speaking form experience, here. No disrespect intended.

I could care less about the message board, it's the overall media and personal views of most people in college football that irk the crap out of me. It seems impossible to people that Mizzou could possibly reload and be competitive again even though the school has the 8th winning percentage among BCS schools over the last 5 years. That's with a horrific 5-7 season. But hey keep sleeping on the Tigers, Gary Pinkel prefers it that way I think, easier to focus the team on goals.

I'll be honest now. I think Mizzou could make it back this year. Mizzou will have a lot more success than A&M in the SEC too!

If Mizzou were returning the bulk or at least a large chunk of its starters I think we'd get plenty of hype and predictions in the preseason, nobody would downplay us. See 2008, we were consensus Top 10 and in most predictions Top 5 because everyone saw us go 12-2 the previous year and saw we had a lot coming back.
The predictions this year both with respect to media and most rational fans have more to do with the sheer bulk of production we lost. I don't necessarily think we are being treated much differently than any other SEC East team would in that regard.
Yeah there are plenty of flamers on here who will always downplay Mizzou cuz they are tards, but if you're bothering to interact with that faction in the first place then that's on you not the retards. They are functioning at their maximum capacity already, its up to you to rise above.

hey, it's the SEC, we expect nothing to be given to us. At this point we have earned our share of the SEC success and we certainly intend to go on earning it.
if all you did was add two teams who could bring nothing more than tv sets, you really would have something to complain about, but that myth died rather quickly. we were a 1 foot kick and a slightly better defensive game plan from clean sweeping the conference last season. you don't really expect us to sit back and whistle and twiddle while the preseason hoopla ignores us, now, do you?

... tells me you could care less about these threads and our opinions. But it's all bullshite. It doesn't matter that we perceived your move to the SEC as a tag along with A&M. It doesn't matter that we laughed at your struggles in your first season away from Big XII level competition. It doesn't matter that we were gobsmacked that these interlopers were taking such shite level players and beating more talented teams last year. It doesn't matter that we saw the losses of your few talented players to pipe dreams in the NFL (or just "Pipe" dreams by your one good WR) as more detrimental to your lowly program then those of us who just reload talent year after year. It doesn't matter that we think that now that your aren't sneaking up on people any longer you will crumble under the pressure of the exceptional talent of the SEC and true southern states native sons abusing your slow, weak Midwest "players". Every starter on Mizzou's team this year played last year. Several of them actually started several games. The team is loaded with Seniors and guys who have been in the program for 3,4, and sometimes 5 years. People are acting like we're running True Freshmen out there and expect them all to produce immediately. You can't name 1 person that's starting this year that hasn't been in a big game on this team.

Does any amount of bitching and whining seem to be changing any of the hoopla? Just smile, nod and let the games play out. I don't know how many idiotic taunts and baited posts I've got half way through responding to before I sit back and go... "frick it. Won't change anything." Some of you guys, not specifically you (you have always seemed like a level headed, good natured poster in my opinion at least), seem to feel an inordinate amount of pain in the arse whenever Missouri is mentioned in less than flattering light.

I'll have you know that South Carolina has been "dominating" for 493+ years now. We've been "good" since Francisco Gordillo first laid eyes on this beautiful, idyllic landscape. And it's only gotten better with time... sorry it sucks in Missouri, but it sucks in Missouri.
